Windows 10: KB4041994 Update for Windows 10 version 1709

A new KB4041994 update has been released via Skip Ahead).

The build number was not changed.

Restart is not required.

Release notes have not yet been made available by Microsoft.

I was trying to install update KB4041994 and I got an error 0x80070643.

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4041994) - Erro 0x80070643

 

That could be a sign that 16294 is the RTM build perhaps but seems a little early yet. Conventional update of non RTM Insider versions is quite rare but not unheard of.

 

Is this for Skippy or non-skippy ?

 

It wasn't available for my Skip Ahead build 16362.

Well this is weird,

Appears it has downloaded and run,
Confirmed via Winver 16294.1

Does NOT show in installed updates

It can not be confirmed that the update was downloaded and run via Winver since, as it says above, this update did not change the number of the build, apparently it is a simple update for a video extension called HEVC and only it is downloaded in compatible equipment (I took this information from MDL).
