Windows 10: Kb4074588

I’ve been trying to uninstall this update but I can only access to command prompt from X:\windows\system 32

In safe mode I still cannot use my mouse or keyboard

Error 0x800736b3 when installing KB4074588

The 0x800736b3 appears to be linked to .NET Framework 3.5.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to check whether the .NET Framework 3.5 has been installed or not.

• Press Windows+X and then select programs and features.
• On the left hand side click on the option turn windows features on or off.
• Check whether the “.NET Framework 3.5” has been checked or not.
• If not check then I suggest you to check it and then install it.
• Restart your computer and try installing the KB4074588 again.

KB4074588 not installing?


Just checked my installed updates history. KB4074588 has supposedly auto-installed successfully 17 times on consecutive days starting in Feb and last time on March 2, 2018 and KB4056892 auto-installed successfully 17 times in January on consecutive days. I have a small monthly data cap but my usage is not off the charts. I have had zero issues with updates since 1607 began. and from WINVER am currently at 16299.248. Win 10 Home. I checked my update history a week ago and none of these were there then. Just used dism /Online /Get-Packages. KB4074588 is not listed.

I ran sfc /scannow(no issues), chkdsk(no issues), dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth and no curruption found.
