  1. KB4093112 - Error 0x80092004

@ pepanee. Don't mind me saying but nor you or I are the target of some obscure villain. My experience and skills when come to computer is limited at best, but one thing I can say for sure, anything can go wrong with no apparent reason. I think it is a question of bad luck this time around. Often enough I wonder why this or that issue create problems for others, when for me all goes well.
I'm sorry you are having no luck. I don't have an answer, the way it got fixed for me was a long error and trial approach. So long that I can't fully remember and possibly duplicate even myself if it happen again.

  2. @pepanee just remembered, before trying usikpa fix I uninstalled all the updates in control panel, those without installation date, as post #6 on Windows Update Alert thread.
I suspect that and or usikpa fix started a new process of WU. Meaning at computer restart, I went on WU and manually checked for update. Obviously there where new ones and from there ... You know the rest.

I checked and saw that all my Windows updates have installation dates.

You know what, this is too stressful for me to try to figure out. I know that there are hackers that get into my computer using Certificates or something similar to that. I'm sure these hackers got a hold on my computer, physically, and did something to the hardware (such as the motherboard/graphics card/etc) and do all this strange stuff to 'harass' me in some way. I have a lawyer going on about a different case, yet I hope he can help clarify this. There's a lot of strange things that go on in my life. I won't get into specifics really. But there is a very high likeliness that this certain "subject" is part of all this non-sense that goes on. I give up on this, and I'm not going to deal with this.

  5. I have the same problem with you.
    (1) go to forum for https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...2-7cf624321103 uninstalling KB4056892 and installing KB4058258
    Code: Uninstall KB4056892 Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup Install KB4058258[/quote] note i un-installed KB4056892 from control panel. There were 2 of them, un-installed below one first.
Installed KB4058258 from the file I downloaded catalog

    (2) now I can install KB4074588 from the file downloaded from catalog
no need to read actually: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/2018-02-cumulative-update-for-windows-10-version/ed28e601-9a44-421a-a4c3-7ef1d278d853

this link actually shows the root of the problem was an previous Error 0x80073715

    (3) now I will install KB4093112 manually from the file I downloaded from the catalog. I'm sure there will be no problems

note: some restarts will be needed after each step.

  6. @pepanee I installed all the updates succesfully, even though "windows modules updater" service still seems to start manually.
winver command shows Version 1709, OS Build 16299.371 in a windows, and windows update status in the settings is "up to date"

    yolbulduran:

    1) I downloaded both of the following from the Microsoft Update Catalog: Microsoft Update Catalog
    • windows10.0-kb4074588-x64
    • windows10.0-kb4093112-x64_delta

    2) I uninstalled KB4056892 from the Control Panel. Yes, I also had two. So I uninstalled the second one first. Uninstalled successfully. Then I uninstalled the first one. Uninstalled successfully. The computer then asked me to restart. So I restarted.

    3) Tried to install kb4074588, install failed.

    4) Went to Windows Update within the computer, and saw that it was automatically trying to install kb4093112. It failed to install with that same error code like in the title of my post.

    5) Trying again to install kb4074588, install failed again.

    6) Trying to install windows10.0-kb4093112-x64_delta tells me: "The update is not applicable to your computer". I believe the reason why is because this is a "delta" update. This means it adds on to previous updates that has updates from this specific "Cumulative Update".

    7) Just downloaded the windows10.0-kb4093112 (2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4093112)) file from the catalog (737 mb).

    8) Trying to install this one now. Failed.

    9) I just noticed that Control Panel updates states that KB4054517 installed just now by itself (it shows today's date, and I didn't see it earlier).

I don't know what else to do to install the newest update.

    According to my way;
did you try as step 3a
    and step 3b:
    before installing kb4074588

and, I installed kb4074608 manually, after reading forums, but did not stated before. Maybe it makes a difference
