Windows 10: KB4345421 install fails 0x80071a30

I have a 3 computer network pc1 (W10Pro), pc2 (W10Home), and pcXP (W-XP). For the last month or so, on pc1 trying to open \\pc2 results in The network path was not found 0x80070035 (pcXP has similar problems with \\pc2). I can access the files on pc2 via \\192.168.2.144. Over on pc2 all the paths, including \\pc2 are working.

On pc2 there have been numerous attempts to install KB43435421 which fails 0x80071a30 (KB4338819 also failed, as did KB4284835 in June). KB43435421 has a known network issue (KB4345913) that might solve my problem. Any ideas on what the 0x80071a30 problem is with Windows Update?

Cannot update KB4345421

My commuter will not update KB4345421 2018-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4345421) 0x8024200d

Pc is is in permanent loop of Initialising... & installing.

I have already reset Windows costing many hours of frustration! Win 10 had lost Cortana and Explorer

Any suggestions? Bring back Windows 7!!!

 

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
