    KB4476976 - Error 0x8007007a


    I am getting the above error when trying to install the update. I get it when trying to install via Windows Update and using the manual download. I am running Win Pro 10.0.17763. I also have all the logs shown with the events associated with this error. Any suggestions as to how to track down the cause of this error and how to correct it? Thanks in advance

    Cumulative Update KB4476976 Build 17763.292 Disables Edge Browser

    Hello Srimadhwa_B,

    None of the suggestions have worked. I did come across something, not sure if it will help.

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth no errors (build 17763.292)

    sfc /scannow something about corrupted files that it can't repair, refer to CBS.log (build 17763.292)

    sfc /scannow after removing CU KB4476976 there are no errors (build 17763.253)

    • Are you using Outlook.com or Outlook email app?
    • Have there been any changes on your email settings prior to this issue?

    In the meantime, please check the post of
