  1. KB4505064 Windows 10 update

Microsoft have acknowledged that this update has caused serious problems with Outlook and Gmail accounts for a number of Windows 10 users.

Attempting to recover using the restore point for this update caused major problems but my PC is up and running again now

The Outlook problem with Gmail still exists and I was told by MS to uninstall and re-install MS Office, even though they had no idea as to the cause of the problem.

Predictably this has made no difference and I am still upable to re-create my Gmail account in Outlook 2016.

Come on Microsoft - we need a fix and in a hurry!

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
