  1. KB4559309 Disaster

I installed this update on 7/10/2020. Once installed, my Dell Latitude E6410 became so slow that it took 30 minutes or more for apps to open, even once open they frequently stopped responding and I had to end them via Task Manager. It became impossible to use Firefox because it would not respond so I uninstalled it. I tried to uninstall KB4559309, but I could not get any response to my efforts to do that, so I did a System Restore. That did not solve the problems. Though my computer boots reasonably quickly, Edge barely works. It can take 15 minutes plus just to open a new tab. I have been trying to install Chrome for an hour and a half. I cannot use my computer. I have read several articles about the problems associated with this update. I do not understand how Microsoft can conclude there are no known issues with this update. I am in desperate need of assistance.

    :)

  3. automatic update to Windows 10 Inflicts Disaster

Windows 10 automatically undertook (or did for all I know) to update itself earlier today. Disaster is what it inflicted. The start menu disappeared. The screen begins blinking on and off (and then stops doing it for a while) for whatever reason. The
automatic update rendered the desktop computer unusable as a practical matter. Obviously, there is a major, major problem (like problems) with whatever update installed (or attempted to install) itself today. Any suggestions as to a repair?
