    After several failures to run KB4577586 Update to remove Adobe Flash I tried to download from Microsoft Update Catalog http://download.windowsupdate.com/c/msdownload/update/software/updt/2020/10/windows10.0-kb4577586-x64_c9bb49df325c20ddc147137b3f769fa44d800dde.msu it failed warning site was not https:// and not safe.

    KB4577586 Update for removal of Adobe Flash Player - Oct. 27

    If you uninstall the most recent KB4580325 security update for Flash Player then check for updates, Windows Update will reinstall it.

    So I tried it today to see what would happen. You cannot make this stuff up....

    Being offered KB4577586 via WU, automatically and silently installed without questions. Also removed the Flash Player icon in the Control Panel, So far, so good...

    KB4577586 Update for removal of Adobe Flash Player - Oct. 27

    Well presumably it disables Flash and any previously installed Flash updates are inactive. If seeing them listed bothers you, uninstall them through Control Panel - they'll never reinstall once KB4577586 is installed.

    For all my other machines I've uninstalled them after KB4577586 was installed. On this machine I thought I'd see how WU would cope if I uninstalled the Flash update before installing KB4577586. The results were amusing...
