Windows 10: KB4579311 - 0x800f0988 error + possible solution

Hi all readers, as stated in title, I have encountered the update error for Windows update Cumulative Update Windows 10 v2004 build 19041.572. My error has been 0x800f0988. I have seen in the main update thread that people has been talking about the same issues of this issue, with people talking about possible solutions. I have tried those solutions mentioned in the thread, but they do not work for me. And I felt that people might be searching for solutions for this problem as well. Hence I have decided to post a dedicated thread on this problem.

Suggested solutions (which might work for you):

• Manually download the update and install
• Follow the solutions stated in the link in Fix update error 0x800f0988 in a few easy steps.
• Execute the script written by Ben in deskmodder.de

However all these doesn't work for me. A shoutout for more possible solutions!
Provided below is my execution result:

Manually download the update and install
Same result. The installer states the following update was not installed:
Security Update for Windows (KB4579311)

Solution provided in Fix update error 0x800f0988 in a few easy steps

1. Clean up the WinSxS folder - tried, restart and update manually, failed
2. Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter - no issue found
3. Reset the Windows Update Components - renamed done, but not working
4. Reset Windows 10 - not tried, because I don't want to lose my customized setting.

Couldn't install the latest Cumulative Update with the same (0x800f0988) error.

Thanks to Ben' shared in Deskmodder forum is the special fix (patch.cmd & broken/missing files inside of SxS folder). It's worked.
