Windows 10: KB4586793 Hangs at 20% installed, affecting system stability.

Hello experts?I have a Window 10, 64bit, tablet that up until recently was working remarkably well.However, several weeks ago I set off the latest round of Windows Updates. Everything went smoothly until it came to the 2020-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems KB4586793.It is stuck at 20% installing and has been stuck there for almost a month. It is coupled with a message stating "You're currently running a version of Windows that's nearing the end of service. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows 10 to get the latest features and s

Strollin: I understand your suggestion, but that means I'll have to re-install all my sofftware etc. again. This is not an enticing thought at all.

LCDR: I tried the old activation code I used before - it is the same on you posted.

I tried the steps listed at the WinAero site. Last one failed because it said the server could not be located. But I did get the Jan 20, 2016 date back. So that's something.
