Windows 10: KB5000808 update - My G430 headset no longer works after this patch

Hi there,


I use a Logitech g430 headset which has working absolutely fine until I installed the KB5000808 windows update. When I use the USB connector with the headset and plug it in, my sound setup keeps enabling/disabling my headset constantly i.e. a few times a second. This only happens with the KB5000808 windows update as it doesn't do this on my laptop nor does it do this if I uninstall this update.


I have updated all of sound drivers and the firmware drivers on the headset itself but I still get the same issue. Any ideas what it is about this update which has decided to stop my headset working and how I might get the headset working again? I'd rather not have to have a security update installed if I can help it - especially as it keeps reinstalling itself.

Logitech G430 headset.

After installing the drivers i didnt get any sound anymore, so i decided to replug the headset.

After I plugged the headset back in windows didnt recognized it anymore.

So i tried the following

-rebooting and trying again.

-reinstalling the drivers.

-reinstalling windows.

After those things I still have the same problem.

I now have windows 10 pro installed.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue ?

 

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

External Microphone No Longer Registering

I just moved into college and got my computer setup finished. I use a G430 headset for output and a Blue Snowball for input.

Before moving, both devices worked fine and I had no issues. After moving, my computer only recognizes the G430's input and output.

The Blue Snowball is no longer listed in the Recording tap of Sound Control Panel, nor is it listed as a disabled device.

I found it in hidden devices on Device Manager, however, and I attempted to update the drives. This did not work.

I then uninstalled the microphones drivers. Still no fix (If just plugging the mic back in isn't how you reinstall them, someone please enlighten me).

The device's indicator still lights up and it does work, so my question is, does anyone know what to do?
