Windows 10: KB5000822 Printing issue

Hello all,


We were hit with the printing issue associated with update KB5000822 blank strip in prints using windows photoviewer Our organisation is running 1809LTSC. I have around 50 machines this affects and want to install the update patch that fixes this. I have tried on a test machine with 5000822 installed to apply KB5001638 standalone .msu which I've read is the correct fix for 1809LTSC but no joy the update is not applicable to your computer Have I got the correct fix? Thanks

  Have you tried printing from a different application and checked?
  

I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Printer.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Also, I suggest you to install the latest chipset and printer drivers from manufacturer website and check if it fixes the issue.

Print to PDF missing in Printer List

Hi William,

We suggest that you disable and re-enable the Print to PDF feature. Here are the steps:

• Click on the Start menu and type in Windows Features.
• Choose Turn Windows features on or off.
• On the next window, find Microsoft Print to PDF and disable it. Click
  OK to save changes.
• Restart your PC.
• Repeat the same steps to re-enable Microsoft Print to PDF.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
