Hello.I got several questions but lets start off with this one.andI dont know under which category to post this so I choose this one since I think its about security.Sorry for any bad English, mispelled words and anything else. Using the English community since its by far the most active one.-----KB5004945 - I just got home from some time away and see that I need to update. Using the Windows update tool to do so.Seeing this text in swedish but you get the point: 2021-07, kumulativ uppdatering för Windows 10 Version 21H1 för x64-baserade system KB5004945.Status : Väntande omstart Waiting R

• unhooked HDD
• restarted
• yay !!
• reconnected HDD

Thanks for your patient help and analysis, zbook. I'll step through some of your suggestions over the next few days - there's a lot to do and some look a bit hairy! That is, for a PC that is working sweetly right now...

One step I did try right away was to answer your question about whether my BIOS is up-to-date. I had no success at the AMI site but did get some info from this commercial site:

random restarts
