  1. KB5005565 Approval for removal not working

Hi All, After the installation of KB5005565 we have some problems with our laptops and desktops in our domain. We manually removed the KB on some laptops and desktops and the problems where gone. So in WSUS I have searched for the KB and selected Approval for removal with a deadline in the past. The only thing is when I search on windows updates now the KB doesn't get removed. The laptops and desktops are saying they are up-to-date and when I look in WSUS the status says not installed. Can somebody help us?

    :)

    Possible printer issue with KB5005565

Today I installed KB5005565 through WU on my desktop. Successfully installed.

Tonight my wife can't print from her laptop to the printer connected to my desktop. This has been working for years.
Printers work, can transfer files from laptop to desktop and back. All network setting unchanged.
I suspect the update I did today is the problem.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Looking at "Uninstall Updates" in WU there is for today:
    • Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5005565)
    • Servicing Stack 10.0.19041.1220

Looking at System Restore, there are 3 restore points to go back to, all dated today:
    • Windows Modules Installer at 12:23
    • Windows Modules Installer at 12:22
    • update at 12:21

What's the best way to roll back?

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

    Malware removal

Understood, OldMike. I will keep your suggestion in mind. I always appreciate suggestions from those who know more than I do. I think the Malware did do more than one scan, because I had to approve removal of what it found twice. I don't see Windows Defender on the list of programs. I think it was on there before they redid the software. Pluto TV also disappeared.
