Windows 10: KB5007186

I'm running two windows 10 machines. Machine A has basic Windows 10 installation, that is, no Office or MS365. Machine B has Windows 10 and fully licensed and installed MS365. I tried to update both machines with update KB5007186. Worked fine on Machine A, but failed on Machine B. I've tried a number of suggested ways to fix the problem on Machine B but to no avail. Any suggestions as to why MS365 may be an issue for this update and how I might rectify it?

Windows 10 Update Error 0x8007000d when installing KB5007186

Had a problem since this update was released. Tried to install many times.

2021-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5007186)
FAILED: 0x8007000d








Steps I have already taken to resolve the issue:

Windows 10 Update Troubleshooter: Did not find any issues;

sfc/scannow: Windows Resource Protection: Found issues with first time I ran it. I rebooted and ran it again, did not find any integrity violations.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth: The restore operation completed successfully.

Re-installation using standalone Windows Installer MSU file (downloaded from Windows Update Catalogue): Installation failed.

deleted all files from C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download: It did not help.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

Update KB5007186 constantly fails

I've tried 10 times to get this update to install. It downloads, says it's installed 100% but then says it failed. Retry.
I've run the troubleshooter and additional troubleshooter.
I've manually stopped windows update in services msc
I've cleared the files in software distribution
I then restarted windows update services
The laptop then says I'm missing important quality fixes and settings and goes through the download and installing fiasco again before failing.
I tried going on the windows update catalogue. KB5007186 is top of the list. I click download and a box opens with the link, but clicking on it does nothing.
Any help, please?
