Prior to KB5010342:Typing "Calculator", "Mail" or "Calendar" for example would always bring the respective app on top of the screen, no matter what. After KB5010342:The app will often open beneath windows that are currently open on the desktop, with the app icon blinking on the taskbar. What a pointless workflow-killing BS and an obvious bug! I shouldn't have dared to actually update Windows not that it's ultimately avoidable.1. KB5010342 in Windows update uninstaller showed up as "Security update". Ok? I uninstalled it. Nothing changed bug still there except that KB5010342 is n

Win 10 How to get rid of Windows.old folder and content.

    *Think

As always, there seems to be lots of alleged fixes out there, which may work on versions earlier than Win 10... but not with Win 10. The struggle for getting rid of this now un-needed bloat seems to be wrapped up in file permissions. But even when I try to clobber it with administrative authority, it won't budge. One fix suggests that you can use disk cleanup to get rid of it by selecting previous installation files. Heh. Yeah. Just TRY and find that option in Win 10.

Ok. Somebody hopefully has managed to resolve this inigma. Step by step, please. KB5010342 - actually getting rid of it :)

Type Diskcleanup in Cortana, bottom left.
Click on Cleanup System Files, There you will see a second option in yellow highlight, More options.
Do note the bottom Attachment comes up first.

How to get rid of raw file support in windows photo viewer?

KB5010342 - actually getting rid of it [IMG]

I have downloaded this, and it did not work; photo viewer is not in the list of programs in Open With or Default App. I used option 2 step 3, followed by step 5 to 9.
