  1. KB5010342 causing slow boot up

We have recently noticed all the Windows 10 PCs in our environment are slow to boot up. For instance, a PC that would normally boot up in under 30 seconds is now taking just over 2 minutes. My test system was affected by this. I reimaged it and it was back to a 30 second boot time. I installed windows updates and rebooted several times and every time it was right around 2 minutes until the login screen popped up. I uninstalled KB5010342 and my boot times went back to 30 seconds. Anyone else experiencing this?

    :)

  3. .net framework 3.5 causing slow boot times

I agree with you, but he said it's still slow after a clean install. But even with a clean install something is trying to use 3.5 and it could be windows. I'd try the service packs then do what you suggested. *Toast :toast:

Windows could be booting up slow if there is more application to startup when Windows boot for the first time, below are few of the steps you can try.

    Method 1:

    1. Try to
boot your computer into Safe Mode
and check if it still take time.
    2. If the system boots fine then it’s the third party service or application that is causing the slow boot issue.
    3. You can try to perform
      Clean Boot
and detect which application or service is causing this issue.
    4. On the article above search for the topic How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
after you have put the computer to clean boot.
