    I have an Optional Quality Update Available KB5020030. I have Windows 10 Home 22H2 OS Build 19045.2251. My OS build is not in the update. I am unable to hide the update using "wushowhide". Do I need to install this Optional update? How do I get rid of it??

    OS Build number

    Hi guys,

    my question is about the significance of the OS Build number.

    When I checked online, the "How-To Geek" website indicated that the latest version of Windows 10 is;

    Version 1511 OS Build 10576.29

    However when I look my Settings>System>about it seems mine is Version 1511
    OS Build 10576.318

    So what is the difference??

  3. Windows 10 PC Build Numbers vs PC OS Build Numbers vs KB references

    Hi & Greetings.

    • I am on the technical fast ring for windows 10 as of 28 March 2016.
    • I may or may not have ongoing Windows 10 update problems, so it would be nice to know, as a result if I am getting updates installed properly or not.
    • As obvious and simple as that sounds we get a notice saying for instance build number 14295 is now available and when I install it, we may or may not see a change in the OS Build number (e.g. 10586.164 but might see, "update installed for KB3140741"
    • But when you search that KB ref back there is not always information if that is via a build (e.g. 14295, or resulting in an OS Build update e.g. 10586..xxx) which you can see of course via Winver etc.
    • I get fix me errors on multiple machines to say there are problems with updates but still get the updates fine as well.
    • This means I do not know when or if my problems are real, so knowing if the latest OS Build is installed as the actual build e.g. 14295 is not shown
    • The result of these false positives and previous issues prior to re-installs means I never know if I have problems or not.
    • So what I want to know is how can I tell if my build is the latest or not.

    Thanks in advance

    E50 number to contact name matching bug?

    Hello,

    I just got an E50 (RM-170, software V 07.36.00).

    It seems to have a very irritating bug in the way numbers are matched to contacts in the 'recent calls' lists:

    - an entry in the list will show the contact name *only if* the number appears only once in the contact list;

    - otherwise the entry only shows the number.

    This happens all the time with my well organized (synced ith my PC) contact list where 2 members of the same family typically have entries with different mobile numbers, but same landline numbers. In that case the landline number will never be matched to
    a contact name.

    To me this is not a 'feature', but definitely a bug. All other (non-Nokia) phones I have owned have the much more usable behaviour of showing in the calls list the name for the first (or last - who cares) contact that matches a call number.

    Is there a software update that fies this bug for the E50?
