Windows 10: KB5027231

2023-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5027231I cannot get this to install it downloads and installs from the update section but when it reboots it goes through to the 30% then reboots, after it reboots it gets to 96% and I get the Something did not go a planned. No need to worry-undoing changes Please keep your computer on. error.I have tried downloading the update from the catalog and installing it manually same result.I have uninstalled my antivirus and Malwarebytes still the same result, other things I have tried.1. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image

Microsoft Windows (KB5027231) Update is preventing me from opening Google Chrome

Yes, we, (collectively), need to convince Microsoft that this is a serious issue with Microsoft Windows Security Update (KB5027231).

I was amazed, (and disappointed), with the Microsoft Rep I corresponded with on this, (today, 6/14/2023).

The first thing he wanted me to do was to reinstall Windows.

That suggestion is, obviously, absurd, and I had to explain several times that Google worked fined before (KB5027231), and FAILED to open after.

The only remedy, (thus far), has been to uninstall: (KB5027231).

Microsoft needs to acknowledge and correct this issue, and folks are encouraged to inform them of this problem.

Only then, can we obtain a long term and viable solution.

Why is chrome not working after the June 23 KB5027231 update

We have several systems with the same issue and we do not use MalwareBytes. That is NOT the deciding factor in our environment.

Our only fix so far is to uninstall KB5027231.

Even trying to uninstall chrome hangs with KB5027231 installed.

Google Chrome worked on 12 Jun 23 before the KB5027231 mandatory update. After uninstalling and reinstalling, it still won't open. What was in KB5027231 or KB5027119 or KB890830 that caused the change?

I need Chrome to access a few websites that do not work with EDGE!
