Windows 10: KB5029244 install failure 0x8007000d 'files are missing or have problems' on Windows 10...

Steps taken so far to resolve installation error: 1 chkdsk c: /f /r ->No errors on disk per event viewer report 2 3X with reboot after each ran sfc /scannow resolving an issue with storport.sys hash mismatch ->system clean after third attempt with no errors per log files 3 ran dism /online /cleanimage /restorehealth plus reboot with no errors reported in log files->reported as clean OS 5 reset windows installation subsystem but was unable to shut down the cryptographic system due to dependencies resulting in inability to rename or delete catroot2 subdirectory- all other steps work

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Failure to install KB3081448 with Error 0x8007000d message

Hi,

I tried to follow your recommended steps again today.

Method 1: Troubleshooter checked Windows Update and returned with a message that 0x8007000d is fixed. But it didn't solve the problem.

Then I tried the Method 2, the wuauserv, cryptSvc and bits worked and stopped the services. But the typing of 'net stop msiserver' got an return message - 'The Windows Installer service is not started.'

I went ahead to finish typing the rest of command lines. The last four CMD lines did start all services. I exited the CMD window and restarted the PC. I still got the same error message 0x8007000d when trying to run the KB3081448 update.

It is apparent that I have problem with Windows Update service.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

p.s. When I tried to rename SoftwareDistribution, it says 'duplicated file'

When I tried to rename Catroot2, it says 'Access is denied'

I checked the Files Explore. Both Catroot2 and Catroot2.old files are there. Both SoftwareDistribution and SoftwareDistribution.old files are also there.

 

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
