KB5034441 recovery partition on system partition?

I'm stuck with that KB5034441 update...I've tried the steps from this official link but I am stuck at 4.h.I am not allowed to delete a partition that is the system partition at the same time... So WHY is WinRE installed into that partition and WHY is it not displayed as "recovery partition" in the diskpart and how can I extend that partition so I can install the update?Thank you very much!

    :)

  2. KB5034441: can I delete both recovery partitions

    Hi, Art Expert Tutor

I apologize for the late reply. If WinRE is enabled in Windows 10 or 11 and two recovery partitions are reserved, there is usually no conflict.WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) is a special boot environment for troubleshooting and repairing Windows. It is usually located in a separate recovery partition that is separate from the operating system partition.

In some cases, a conflict may occur if both recovery partitions are located on the same disk, and both have the same boot order. This may result in the system not booting from the correct recovery partition or in boot errors.

To avoid such conflicts, it is recommended that you keep only one recovery partition. You can delete the unwanted recovery partition using the Disk Management tool.

Below are the steps for deleting a recovery partition:

    • Open the Disk Management tool. You can open it by searching for "Disk Management" in the Start menu.
    • In Disk Management Utility, locate the recovery partition you want to delete. It is usually located at the end of the disk and marked as "Recovery".
    • Right-click on the recovery partition and select Delete Volume.
    • In the confirmation dialog, click Yes.

After deleting the recovery partition, you need to restart your computer. During the boot process, the system automatically creates a new recovery partition.
