    Keep receiving virus threats notifications when it's up to date. How do I get rid of this?


    I am receiving notifications that Windows Defender has detected virus threats. But when I click on the notification that takes me to Windows Security, it shows that I am up to date on everything and that no threats have been detected. This is becoming quite annoying. Is there a way to correct this?Most of the advice I find in the forums advise that I go to the Scans folder in Microsoft Defender and delete the detection history. However, it doesn't give me permission to open the folder, even though this is my own personal laptop. I was able to go into the folder in Safe Mode and delete the dete

    KEEP GETTING NOTIFICATION THAT DEFENDER HAS DETECTED VIRUS THREATS

    I am receiving notifications that Windows Defender has detected virus threats. But when I click on the notification that takes me to Windows Security, it shows that I am up to date on everything and that no threats have been detected. This is becoming quite annoying. Is there a way to correct this? JWarner

    How to stop Virus & Threat Protection notifications

    I'm using the below settings and yet, I'm receiving the notification also seen below every time a full scan has been completed. Even when no threats were found.

    Not sure if it's a bug or something I missed?

    I'm on Windows 10 21H1.

    • When do you receive the notification?
    • In which application are you receiving the notification?


    If you are receiving the notification in Mail App, I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps in the article

    Your account settings are out-of-date in Mail or Calendar for Windows 10     and see if that helps in resolving the issue.
