Keeping access to old files on a fresh install of Windows 11

Hi, I just built a PC and would like to perform a fresh install of Windows 11 on the new SSD I got. I have three other drives from my previous pc and would like to still have access to all their data to sort through, but am concerned that I won't be able to access them due to permissions especially the drive that has Windows 10 installed on it and a few user accounts. Will the new install have access to all the data on the old drives automatically, or do I have to do something before I flash Win11 onto the empty, new drive? My current plan is to flash Win11 onto the drive from a USB stick, se

Windows 10 installation, Keep files option

Hey guys, I was just wondering which of the options I should choose when doing a windows 10 install. I am upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I want to do a fresh install, but keep my old files on my HD so I can sort through it later and transfer what I need to. I know when I installed windows back in the day I did a fresh install, but my old files were just all kept in the windows.old folder, so they werent completely wiped. Technically it was a fresh install, but everything old was moved to that folder. Which install option would this be? The second or third one? I wanted to make sure before I went through with it.

    1. Keep Windows settings, personal files, and apps
    2. Keep personal files only
    3. Nothing
