Windows 10: Keeping Phone Link Open on desktop

Phone Link app in Windows 10 works fine as long as the window is open and displayed but if the window is minimized or even just behind another window for a few minutes it closes. Then when I get a notification of a text message and I open Phone Link it takes a while to reconnect and refresh. Why won't it stay open?

When my phone fails to upgrade I just keep trying. One upgrade took 3 or 4 tries.

Besides Group Policy, what other ways have you tried ?
Do you utilize Shared experiences, Share across devices ?

Unlink your phone from your PC running Windows 10, use these steps:

• Open Settings.
• Click on Phone.
• Click the Unlink this PC option. Unlink your phone from computer.
• Click the Home button.
• Click on Devices.
• Click on Bluetooth & other devices.
• Select your phone.
• Click the Remove device button.
