Windows 10: Keeping the Capture Dialog Open: Troubleshooting Microsoft WDM Image Capture in Twain...

I will be using Twain Dynamo software to capture an image either from a webcam or an external source. Once I open it, the dropdown option defaults to "Microsoft WDM Image Capture," where I modify some settings and click the capture button. However, when I click the capture button, the image is saved and the pop-up automatically closes. I want the pop-up to remain open after clicking the capture button so that the user does not need to reopen the dialog box, modify settings, and click capture again. Universal TWAIN driver for video capture cards?

Hello! Back in the late 90's and early 2000's I had a Pinnacle Studio PCTV tuner card. This could receive analog TV channels and also capture video from a composite or S-Video source. It also had TWAIN drivers allowing you to capture single frames from a TV channel or a video source. My current hybrid analog/DTV tunner doesn't have a TWAIN driver and I was wondering if there is a third party universal TWAIN driver that works with any video capture card or webcam. Thanks

 

Windows screen capture function doesn't work if a Word dialog box is open

I just encountered a problem with Word. I tried to capture a screen shot of the error message, but the Windows screen capture didn't work. I closed the Word dialog and then the screen capture worked.

I got the same result with Excel. If a pop-up dialog is open, screen capture doesn't work.

When I say "screen capture", I mean Win+Shift+s.

Why does the it fail when a dialog is open?
