Windows 10: Keeps updating but not properly installed 2024-08 KB5042320.

KB5034123 shows it is installed and then keeps trying to install the update

I have this in my update history:

2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034123)

Failed to install on 2/4/2024 0x0800f0922

2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034123)

Successfully installed on 2/3/2024

The problem is the update kb5034123 keeps showing up in updates asking me to install it.

To solve the problem, I have tried Windows update, SFC, DISM, windows update troubleshooter, and deleting the update cache, but nothing seems to work.

Any suggestions?

 

Insurgency wont install and run for me....

I have played and have fully updated CS and Half life 2....
I am using the newest client and installed the SDK.

I am completely blown away, if i click the desktop icon it starts the sdk and then closes, and it doesn't show up in my game list...

First mod attempt install here, followed the directions step by step on the mods website...

Any ideas?

 

Unable to install 2024-01 Cumulative Updates for Windows 11

I've tried the Windows Troubleshooter, and I disabled Malwarebytes (I primarily use Windows Defender, so I didn't need it running as well), and I've tried restarting a couple times.

But the following two updates refuse to install, and I keep receiving error code 0x80070020 for:

• 2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034123)
  
• 2024-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5033920)
  

What do I need to do, to get these updates to install?

I'm running Windows 11 Home (version 22H2).

Not sure if it's extraneous info but my processor is a 12th Gen Intel i7, with 32GB of RAM.
