Windows 10: Kerberos login to FreeIPA breaks after updating Windows 11 to 22H2

We’ve setup 66 PCs with Windows 11 to login using the FreeIPA Kerberos - we have to stick with this for legacy reasons, 8K+ users are in there. This has been working without any problems since April 2022. One of The the PCs is used as an ‘image generator’ where the Windows was updated to 22H2. We use this pc to test new features before deploying the image to the PCs. Right After its very first boot, it failed to login with the message: “There is a time and / or date difference between the client and the server”. Win11 22H2 doesn't auto login SSO using Kerberos

We have a website hosted from our internal IIS server, which uses kerberos delegation for SSO authentication. The expected behaviour is, when we open the website on edge it doesn't ask for authentication, it directly logs into the site. other than the Win 22H2 OS, all client machines are accessing the site as expected, only on 22H2 version the SSO page opens up and we need to manually login.

What is different in 22H2 Win11 ?

 

Cannot update Windows 11 to build 22h2

Need more help than support web site offers. I would like to update a Windows Pro 21h2 to 22h2.

I've tried every suggestion at Troubleshoot problems updating Windows - Microsoft Support short of "Perfrom a clean installation of Windows 11." That list is comprehensive and includes everything I would have thought of on my own and then some. None of the troubleshooting suggestions solved the problem. The system in question is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n desktop running Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2.

In addition to all the steps at the above link, I've also tried installing by using Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Installation Assistant downloads and goes through the long installation process. But then very shortly after the reboot starts, it says, "Undoing changes" and boots back into the old build.
