Windows 10: kernel pnp 430

I recently bought an Epson v600 flatbed scanner to replace a previous one. I connected everything as instructed and proceeded to scan which was fine, a few scans in and it stops working. I did all the troubleshooting per the manual and nothing is helping. First got USB device not recognized, with a recommendation to reconnect the device. Which I did, still nothing. I had to walk away from it for a few days because I got frustrated. I have looked in device manager and have found this

Device USB\VID_04B8&PID_013A\5&2b57d146&0&9 requires further installation.

Event 442 Kernel Pnp

I use my password protected USB (My passport ) suddenly it is not being read says malfunction - but when I do in details

EVENT 442 Kernel Pnp comes up and I can't read on any computer thanks

'Generic PnP monitor' issue

Hello Angelica,

I would suggest you follow steps to update the monitor driver:

Press Windows + X keys

Choose Device manager

Click on Monitors

Right click on ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and click on update driver

Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

When you are done please restart the computer.
