Windows 10: Kernel-Power crash

HelloI have a 40L HP Omen PC that has been randomly crashing since forever. The crashes happen randomly, more frequently when in use, but also when the PC is idle.I have attempted to:Swap the PSU for a higher wattage;Turn off Isolated User Mode In previous crashes it was appearing before the critical eventDisable Windows Hello Drivers Errors of the Windows Hello drivers were appearingSpecsrocessor AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800X GPU NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 Ti 8 GB GDDR6 dedicated with LHRRAM HyperX 32 GB DDR4-3733 MHz XMP RGB Heatsink RAM 2 x 16 GB Transfer rates up to 3733 MT/s. 2 x 16 GB

Kernel Power Error

If they don't then I suggest including their links in your BSOD thread to avoid somebody else coming along and suggesting you read them. Best of luck, Denis

 

Kernel Power Error

What fault symptoms have you experienced? If you want to turn off Fast start then I suggest using this well thought out procedure:- Turn Fast Startup On or Off - TenForumsTutorials You can get into Power options quicker than the tutorial step 1 says by right-clicking on the SysTray Power icon & selecting Power options.

The kernel power event ID 41 error occurs when the computer is shut down, or it restarts unexpectedly. When a computer that is running Windows starts, a check is performed to determine whether the computer was shut down cleanly. If the computer was not shut
down cleanly, a Kernel Power Event 41 message is generated.



Try this, see if it works for you:

• Go to "Settings"
• Select "System"
• Select "Power and Sleep"
• Select "Additional Power Settings"
• Select "Choose what the power buttons do"
• Select "Change settings currently available"
• Ensure that "Turn on fast start up" is deselected (unticked)
• Click on "Save Changes"

Restart your computer after performing the steps.
