Windows 10: Kernel-Power Event 41 Task 63 during Every Shutdown! Fresh Install W10

Hey folks!

I've had this issue since building a new x99 system. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 and after every single shut down I've received the following Critical error:

Kernel-Power Event ID 41 Task Category (63)
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Changed power profile to no sleep, no hard disk sleep etc... Everything on. All drivers up to date. I even made some registry edits found in this post on tenforums.

Let me be clear: I've had no actual loss of power or unexpected reboots. This ONLY happens if I manually go thru the shutdown process. The computer seems to shut down and start up normally but every time I reopen the event viewer there is the critical error listed from the last time(s) I shut down. It's just very annoying to see and I want to make sure it's not affecting other parts of the system.

System as follows:

Asus X99 Strix Motherboard - newest BIOS
2x EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (SLI)
32GB TridentZ 3200Mhz DDR4
EVGA 1000 P2 PSU (platinum, 2 years old)
Corsair H110i
NZXT S340
Samsung 950 Pro

Brand new fresh install of Windows 10, fully updated to Anniversary Edition.

Kernel Power System Error - NEED HELP!

Is there a reason for not installing the Anniversary Update?



Your Event Viewer System log only shows
one blue screen error since 8 August. All the other crashes are unexpected (Event 41 errors) shutdowns or system failures.

Please download Speccy and upload a copy of the report it produces to OneDrive. To obtain a report select File,

Laptop shutdowns unexpectedly

Hello, i have the following issue, my laptop shutdowns unexpectedly and in the event viewer it showns that there was a cirtical error kernel power id 41 task category 63, i have no idea whats going on please help me, i
have windows 10.

 

Also getting these random crashes as well. Seem to be a daily occurrence.

 

My wife's build, also an Asus X99, does it too.
But the difference here is its intermittency: sometimes the errors appear, other times not.
Try changing the function of the "sleep" button, in power options, to do nothing.
Let us know if that helps.

 

Thank you for your help but unfortunately I've already tried this. I actually configured a custom power management profile in hopes of solving this to no avail.

 

I have this problem with a brand new HP Spectre. I shut down properly, and then get the Critical Error 41 (63). Has anybody figured out why this would happen?
