    Kernel Power ID41, ntoskrnl.exe nt+0x1C2380

Hello. Ever since I've bought my desktop PC 6 months old it was crashing whenever I was playing games or watching YT. Froze, black screen, restarted. Found out Kernel Power ID41 caused it but were not created Minidump files due to it always crashing without BSOD. Until now, for once. Further investigating it all came to do something with my GPU. I have all the latest updates always installed within hours of being published so I have no idea what is wrong at all. Thanks for help.

    nt kernel & system/ ntoskrnl.exe issue

In Win10 Task manager, there is a process that takes about as much as any HDD activity as the other processes that are running. This process seems to mimic all software when it comes to HDD use. CPU use is up to 25%, generally stays between 7-15%.
The process is listed as System. Going to properties it tells me it's: nt kernel & system and ntoskrnl.exe.

Some of the software which it mimics the HDD use: Firefox (downloaded a large file), Explorer (if I copy something from disk to disk), HD Tune and other HDD benchmarking software

There are articles and posts about ntoskrnl.exe taking too much CPU and HDD.
Tried all the solutions listed here:
ntoskrnl.exe High CPU or Disk Usage on Windows 10 [Solved] - Driver Easy
Fix: High CPU or Disk Usage by Ntoskrnl.exe on Windows 10 - Appuals.com
    Does not fix it.

When I copy something (from disk to disk), in Resource Monitor Explorer does the reading, and System the writing. Same with Firefox.

In Resource Monitor System (or the other names) does not show up at all (including in process activity). It's just the piece of software that is writing things.

In Process Hacker in the processes tab there is no System(or other names), disk activity is the software using the HDD. In the Disk menu however, System is doing all the writing, the software used is not listed as doing much with regards to HDD use.

Is this just how HDD use shows up in Win10 Task manager?

    Thank you.

ID41 Kernel Power errors after updating to Windows 10 1709

    Hi Grosso,

Event ID 41 error is due to improper computer shut down or restart that possibly corrupted the system files and
    the Master Boot Records (MBR).

I recommend that you run these troubleshooting and see if there are any changes:

    Run SFC Scan:

    To run an
    SFC scan, follow these steps:

    • Access
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Run
      sfc /scannow
      and hit
      Enter.

    Run DISM Tool:

    To perform
    DISM, follow these steps:

    • Access
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Run the following command:

      • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /scanhealth

      • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    NOTE:
This might take a while to finish scanning.
Do not cancel (after running SFC and DISM Tool, run SFC again 3 times).

If there are no corrupted or damaged system files found. Move on in repairing the Master Boot Records (MBR). To
    do this, follow these steps:

    • Access
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Type the following command:

      • bootrec /scanos

      • bootrec /fixMBR

      • bootrec /fixBoot

      • bootrec /rebuildBCD

    • Restart PC.

If the issue persists, you can also refer to the article entitled
"Windows Kernel event ID 41 error "The system has rebooted without cleanly
    shutting down first" in Windows"
for more information and troubleshooting in regards with this matter.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
