Kernel Security Check Failure on Win10 when waking up

    Hi everyone.

I am getting intermittent but somewhat frequent BSOD with Kernel_Security_Check_Failure when waking my computer up from sleep. It happens after waking up and displaying the login screen but before I can do anything else. This part isn't so bad, but it is also happening when trying to run the November Windows 10 update (at around 40%) which is causing it to have to roll back mid-install, then windows tries to schedule it again right away...

I'm not sure how much of this info is relevant, but I have usb Keyboard (MS Ergonomic keyboard 4000) usb mouse (JSCO noiseless mouse), a wired XBOX 360 controller, Turtle beach Earforce X12, and Panda 300Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter.

Please let me know if any other information would be helpful, and thanks in advance for any advice!

    -Seth

  2. Win10 Kernel secure check failure

    Hey Guys,

I'm constantly getting a bluescreen after 10-15min of playing Counterstrike Global Offensiv or Smite. The bluescreen shows me "kernel_secure_check_failure".

    The code is:

    0x00000139 (0x0000000000000003, 0xffffd00024f77340, 0xffffd00024f77298, 0x0000000000000000)

The .dmp files are uploaded to the cloud service box.com:

We do need the actual log files (called a DMP files) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here
If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

Kernel Security Check Failure on Win10 when waking up

    Hi sjcohen2,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

When upgrading, I would recommend to remove every USB device where the exception is for the mouse and keyboard.
This so the drivers of the devices won't be causing any problem.

All the most recent crashes are caused by the mouse driver.
Simply check the manufacturer of the mouse for driver updates.
Code: *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for NMgamingms.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for NMgamingms.sys 0: kd> lmvm NMgamingms start end module name fffff801`d4f70000 fffff801`d4f72c00 NMgamingms T (no symbols) Loaded symbol image file: NMgamingms.sys Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\NMgamingms.sys Image name: NMgamingms.sys Timestamp: Fri Jul 24 10:55:08 2009 (4A6976EC) CheckSum: 0000EC2F ImageSize: 00002C00 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4[/quote]
It is recommended to update following drivers too
    1. Audio driver
    2. Chipset driver
    3. USB network adapter driver
Links below provide driver update link and information.
For the USB network driver, you need to check its manufacturer for drivers.

Thanks axe0! I uninstalled all drivers for my mouse and let windows redownload what it thought it needed, and it didn't pull nmgamingms.sys in this time. After that, the update completed successfully. Really appreciate it!

  6. Hey guys, I have the same problem after waking my computer up. Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 8.1. Waking from hibernate generates Kernel_Security_Check_Failure. Waking from sleep generates mostly IRQ NOT EQUAL. Could you please help? Thanks!
