"Kernel Security Fail" loop. Where's the error log? Repair option?

Just loaded Windows 10 on my third system [trial]. This is a mainstream corporate grade Dell Optiplex desktop.
I got errors I have not seen on any previous Windows 10 install. Everything looked fairly normal until - while I was away with real life - I am supposing it downloaded some more updates, after which, when I saw it again, I had a "your system encountered errors" message with "restarting" frozen. Error was "Kernel Security" check failure.

AFterward, it never successfully ran again. No BSOD or black screen, just stuck in that same cycle - load windows, encounter Kernel Security problem, gather data, "restart" which fails to restart. Power-down.

I finally reverted back to Win7 but would like to find the debris trail and figure out what went wrong.
Would a log be stored in the -~BT folder somewhere ??

    :)

"Kernel Security Fail" loop. Where's the error log? Repair option?

It depends on several things. How did you install 7 and what's left of the 10 install?

The BT folder would likely have some info - if not overwritten by the 7 install. I'll have to take a better look this PM/ torrow AM as I'm at work now and am posting from my phone

Sounds like I've run into a very similar situation. I have an Asus EEEPc 1215N laptop which was running Win 7 Home Premium 32 bit perfectly, and since it is not my primary laptop, decided to give the Win 10 technical preview a try-- it seemed to load & install fine, except for the Realtek audio hardware-- Win 10 simply could not find it initially-- but when I launched the update tool in the Win 10 settings, it found a Windows update for Realtek, so naturally I OK'd the update-- it is at that point when the mysterious "System PTE Misuse" error began appearing, with the endless loops of restart/same error/restart/same error. Such a shame, since it initially appeared that Win 10 had installed & ran great, up til that point. Only option I could see at that point was to click the "rollback" to Win 7.
