Windows 10: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE with CZUR ET24 scanner fixed!

kernel_security_check_failure

I have a Windows Surface laptop running Windows 10.

I have used a Czur document scanner for over a year. When I open the software now I get a blue screen with kernel_security_check_failure and the computer reboots. I have spent hours with Geek Squad (don't get me started) and the issue remains unresolved.

I have reinstalled the Czur software in hopes that I could overwrite an error, to no avail. Does anyone have a suggestion or solution? I have tried the ones online with no success.

To get better clarity on the issue, kindly answer the questions below:

• Is the scanner detected under Devices?
• Were you able to see the scanner on the Device Manager?
• Have you installed the latest driver for the scanner?

We suggest you to run the troubleshooter for hardware and devices. To do this, follow the steps:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting and hit enter.
• Choose Hardware and Sound.
• Select Hardware and Devices and run the troubleshooter.

If issue persists, we suggest you contact the manufacturer to get better assistance.

Kernel_security_check_failure bsod


A few months back I built my first PC, since then I've intermittently been experiencing BSOD crashes.

My computer crashes to a BSOD with the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error message but I've also rarely had the following BSODs:

• DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
• MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
• SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY

That being said it's nearly always the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error; the other messages haven't happened more than once or twice each.

I've attached the DM Log but I'm fairly new at this so please let me know if there is any other information that would help fix this.
