Windows 10: KERNELBASE.dll Event ID 1000 error while running any UE5 game

Hello, since I've build my PC I'm having issues with UE5 games and recently it got to the point of instant crash when I start any game from UE5 past the main screen menu. I've been having some difficulty opening Crusader Kings 2; it runs for a few seconds, but the game launcher itself does not appear, before the process halts.

This is driving me nuts, could somebody please help.

 

Does Event ID: 1000 for hydrogen.dll with WMR running windows 10 indicate malware?

Looking up EventId 1000 shows it is commonly associated with group permissions and file system access in Windows Server. I am running windows 10 home with Windows Mixed Reality, could this be a sign of malware?
