Windows 10: Key command to "End Task"

Is there a shortcut that allows you to end a task? By that I specifically mean a key command that does the exact same thing as pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete, opening the Task Manager, selecting a process and clicking on End Task, without ever opening the task manager.

Sometimes Alt+F4 just doesn't work, and sometimes the task manager opens behind a program that's become locked up (say a program stops responding, sometimes they take up the entire screen and won't let anything display in front of them). A key command to end the task would be very handy, as doing so from the task manager almost always closes the program immediately, but I can't always get to the task manager.

I've found that in a situation where a program won't close and won't let the Task Manager open in front of it, the only solutions are to either Alt+Tab to the task manager, press the same letter key as the first letter in the programs name, then press delete, or to just sign out from the Ctrl+Alt+Delete page. The first doesn't always work, and the second is definitely not ideal. Either way, it'd be pretty nifty to have a surefire key command that will just force the program to shut down immediately.

Windows 10 Task Manager "End Task" does not end task.

1) Does it show any error message while performing End Task Through
Task Manager?

I suggest you to perform Safe Mode with Networking and then try to end the task and check if you’re able to

Safe mode:

Please follow below steps:

• Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
  Shift key and click on Restart.
• Click on Troubleshoot.
• Click on Advanced options.
• Click on Startup Settings.
• Click on Restart.
• When your PC starts up, you'll see a light blue screen with the Startup Settings menu. You can now choose an option using your keyboard (number keys or function keys). To start up in Safe Mode, press
  4 or F4. To start up in Safe Mode with networking, press
  5 or F5. To start up in Safe Mode with the Command Prompt, press
  6 or F6. If you change your mind and decide you don't want to boot into Safe Mode after all, hit
  Enter to boot normally.

Suggestion: /? (-?) and /help (-help) command-line arguments to show a list of all possible arguments in a small window. *Smile

 

Execute a command from SCCM Task sequence step "Run a Command line"

That will work indeed, however I need to run it from the SCCM Task Sequence's Run Command Line Step and I am not able to figure out how to do that.

Can we change line while executing command from SCCM Task Sequence's Run Command Line Step?
