Windows 10: keyboard all mixed up

Hello,

im on here today because my keyboard is all messed up, and was looking for some help. i have a windows 10 asus laptop.

i was cleaning it and took a rag and wiped the keyboard but as soon as i did that the keyboard went into like full shut down mode.

it stopped working for about a day then came back on. but now the keys are all switched, like the "t" is "v" but the "v" is also "v"

and stuff like that. ive tried going into my language settings and seeing if anything was changed but as far as i know its not.

it all says "us english". and ive also tried to uninstall the keyboard then resetting my computer and having it automatically install it.

but didn't work.


so any help would be great.

To resolve your issue with keyboard, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Click on the Start Menu>Settings>Time & language>Region & language.
• Click on Languages>Options>Add a keyboard.
• Click on US Qwerty.
• Close to Save.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

Help Choosing Gaming Keyboard

Hi guys, just found this forum and looks awesome.

I just bought a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard (this one) and I am about 70% satisfied. I am returning it because they sent me the wrong model number, but I think the model number up from this won't be much different.

What I need in a gaming keyboard:

• WHITE Backlit Keys (multicolor is a plus but has to allow white since I basically only use white)
• Anti-ghosting (preferably 10 keys simultaneous)
• Silent Keypress
• $40 to $80 (used is fine)
• Easy-to press keys
• External color a simple black
• OPTIONAL: Low-profile keys (slim, ultraslim)

What do you suggest? I have been searching for many hours and have a few ideas, but there are mixed reviews.
