Windows 10: keyboard and mouse are detected using kvm but the monitor gets no signal

Hey, I had and old monitor Samsung that works using KVM switch ugreen with 2 computers T14 Lenovo and desktopsuccessfully , now I bought new monitor LG Ultragear 32GQ750-B and connected it to the KVM The desktop works properly but the laptop works only for the mouse and the keyboard but not for the monitor that get no signal, connecting the t14 monitor directly to the screen solve the problem, but i want the monitor works using the kvm not directly, what can be the issue how can i solve it ?

KVM mouse and keyboard issue

Many thanks for the info. As far as the KVM usb ports go .. this fancy KVM has true 3.1 USB ports only and the very minimual and vague one paragraph with multiple pictures manual does mention something about it working best with good USB 3.0 or better cables AND they supply with the unit four USB 3 cables to use. One of the things I wanted was additional true USB 3 cabablity to be able to use the 3 pc's own usb 3 input with that kvm. Then I could plug anything into one of the empty USB ports on KVM (like a USB Key or portable drive, CD or what ever) and be able to use that plugged in device with any of the three PCs. So wouldn't downgrading the KVM usb cable to USB 2 kinda be a step backwards? I will check the chipset drivers as suggested .. that sounds possible and could be why the Win 11 PC mouse and KB does work perfectly and only the Win 10 PCs have issues with the mouse and KB. I'm still waiting to hear from logitech support about this. The mouse and keyboard are both logitech, a K270 KB and a G305 Mouse.

 

Monitor not detected (when via KVM)

I have an HDMI KVM 2*1 Switch (DC powered) I connect my PC to one port and it switches through to monitor fine. Mouse & keyboard via USB work fine. I have tested on both port PC1 and PC2 to make sure OK. I then connect my new Laptop (Dell Latitude 7390) Mouse & keyboard work to it fine, but no video feed to monitor. If I connect Laptop direct to monitor it works fine, so I have been able to prove all cables are good, and Laptop HDMI socket. If I go to settings on Laptop …. It does not detect a monitor when connected to the KVM. If I plug direct into monitor it works (and is detected) This is the same on PC1 or PC2. My PC works fine to either port ….. assumption is something is blocking Dell laptop from seeing monitor connected. I have 2 identical KVM switches …both proven OK .. both have same issue with this Dell laptop Assume it's related to EDID pass through on KVM ..... but strange other PC/Laptop work OK

 

Duel Monitor KVM Switch - Keyboard not being recognized on one of the computers

I have a dual monitor KVM switch (PWAY HDMI 2.0 KVM Switch 2 port) that I use to switch between work and my personal computer; both are running Windows 10. I upgraded my keyboard recently from a razor gaming keyboard to the new Steelseries APEX PRO keyboard which utilizes a 3.0 USB vs the Razor gaming keyboard which utilized a 2.0 USB. I upgraded the keyboard as my old Razor keyboard started to have issues with keys sticking/other issues. After plugging in the Steelseries keyboard to the KVM, the keyboard works great on my work computer where I am able to switch back and forth without losing function of the keyboard. However when I switch to my personal computer I loose function of the new keyboard through the KVM switch, the mouse works fine. To get the keyboard to work on my personal computer I have to either plug the keyboard directly into the tower or restart the computer with the KVM selected on the personal computer. However even with the restart, the keyboard works for about a minute then I lose function of the keyboard. Only plugging directly into the tower seems to allow for full use of the keyboard.

I have tried the following:

• Re-arranging the cables leading to the KVM switch
  
• updating all drivers for the keyboard
  
• ensure windows is up to date with all updates.
  
• plugging the KVM input into the 3.0 slot on my tower vs the 2.0 slot on my tower.
  

Any help you can provide is appreciated. Should I just buy an older 2.0 keyboard again?
