Windows 10: Keyboard and mouse bufferring and 'sticky click' issues in Win 11 on Parallels

I have a really annoying issue with Windows 11 running in Parallels on Mac Silicon.My keyboard will often buffer - usually for a few seconds at a time and then everything I have typed 'blind' will suddenly appear.Linked with this mouse click behaviour is erratic. Sometimes it's fine but it often behaves as 'sticky clicks' where it 'holds' the left mouse button down after only a click and needs another click to release it. Sticky clicks are not enabled - neither are sticky keys or other accessibility features.All drivers and Windows up to date.DISM check heath and restore health find nothing

Win10Pro sticky mouse issue

  What is the make and model of the Sticky mouse?
  

I suggest you to check with your manufacturer web site and download the driver latest drivers and install.

If you couldn’t find the latest driver, I suggest you to install the old driver in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below on how to install driver in compatibility mode:

1. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

KVM mouse and keyboard issue

Many thanks for the info. As far as the KVM usb ports go .. this fancy KVM has true 3.1 USB ports only and the very minimual and vague one paragraph with multiple pictures manual does mention something about it working best with good USB 3.0 or better cables AND they supply with the unit four USB 3 cables to use. One of the things I wanted was additional true USB 3 cabablity to be able to use the 3 pc's own usb 3 input with that kvm. Then I could plug anything into one of the empty USB ports on KVM (like a USB Key or portable drive, CD or what ever) and be able to use that plugged in device with any of the three PCs. So wouldn't downgrading the KVM usb cable to USB 2 kinda be a step backwards? I will check the chipset drivers as suggested .. that sounds possible and could be why the Win 11 PC mouse and KB does work perfectly and only the Win 10 PCs have issues with the mouse and KB. I'm still waiting to hear from logitech support about this. The mouse and keyboard are both logitech, a K270 KB and a G305 Mouse.

 

Issues with the On screen keyboard and mouse pointer.

The issues with the mouse may arise due to driver conflicts and the issue related to the On Screen keyboard may be when the settings for the OSK are turned on.

For the On screen keyboard issue, I suggest you to follow the below steps.

• 
  Type Ease of Access on the search bar.
  
• 
  Choose Ease of Access and click on
  Use the Computer without a mouse or keyboard option.
  
• 
  Check if the Type using a pointing device is turned on.
  
• 
  You may uncheck that option if it is turned on.
  

Also try the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + R and type
  Services.msc.
  
• 
  Scroll down to find the "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service".
  
• 
  Disable the option by right clicking on it.
  

For the Mouse issue:

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

2. Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click on Hardware
and Devices.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

6. Check if issue persists.
