Windows 10: Keyboard AND mouse not working on login screen.

I recently switched my anti virus protector. After installing the new anti virus fully, it alerted me to restart my pc so I did. After the pc got its power back my keyboard and mouse were both unresponsive BUT working on other devices and still illuminating the LED’s while plugged into the pc. I am totally unable to move the mouse for an on screen keyboard or type anything for arrow key navigation. Meaning I am stuck at the login screen. I have tried unplugging both keyboard and mouse and unplugging the pc for multiple hours just for the same issue to occur. Im a teen who covered the monetary

Windows 10 Login Screen - Not recognizes any keyboard and mouse

Windows 10 Login Screen not recognizes to ANY keyboard and mouse (both wired and wireless) but when power up to start up and the keyboard is working fine before login screen.

BUT - I am able to enter BIOS (keyboard working fine) and Acer Recovery Program (pressed by ALT + F10) and both keyboard and mouse working fine.

ONLY Login Screen not working where I have to type in password to unlock screen, however the keyboard’s number lock light went off when got on that screen, before that - it was light on while I am on BIOS and Recovery Program.

This not even make sense.

However, I tried those list.

• System restore (failed third times).
• Refresh PC (failed).
• Startup Repair (failed).
• Tried go on safe mode but keyboard and mouse not recognizing.
• I tried unplug both usb and restart without it until login screen open and reconnect both keyboard and mouse, still not recognizing.

I tried everything, seem nothing work at the login screen.

Any advice?

I understand that the keyboard and mouse do not work on the login screen;

What exactly is your PC model and manufacturer?

If it's a desktop, what exactly is the model and manufacturer of the motherboard?

Before answering this question I suggest you access the PC's Bios;

When accessing the Bios press the F9 key to reset all the Bios settings;

Press F10 key to save and exit;

Unplug the keyboard and mouse and plug them in again;

Turn on the PC and check if the peripherals work on the login screen;

Keyboard, mouse and ease of use options not working on login screen

In my last two attempts to log in to the my computer I experienced that my keyboard, mouse and ease of use options stopped working. But the thing is that:-

1. Keyboard and mouse are actually working but not when I'm trying to enter my password.
2. Clicking on ease of use options don't work at all.
3. Whereas keyboard and mouse works completely fine in BIOS.
4. And all wires are perfectly plugged in.

I have experienced this problem twice in a row and that's how I was able to login to my computer.

1. I left my login screen and it got back to the image screen. I press enter button and I was able to type password.
2. Next time, I had to press forgot password button. It kept doing something for a while and then it showed message that I need Internet to proceed. I clicked OK. I was back at login screen and able to type password.

I think that it's software issue. I keep my Windows updated and there is no update at all. My current Windows built is:

Windows 10 Pro

Version: 1803

OS Build: 17134.407

There is no update. I just checked it.
