Windows 10: Keyboard and mouse

When I plug in both my keyboard and mouse, the mouse doesn't light up like it's supposed to and the keyboard just doesn't work at all. I have tried everything from uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them to cleaning the USB ports. Please help

Logitech mouse and Keyboard issues

Thank you as well. I have no owned a corded mouse in 15 years or since they had wireless mice. Can I do the steps backwards, meaning do the keyboard first rather than the mouse since I will need a working mouse to do all this?
