Windows 10: Keyboard being really slow and delayed

Hello,I've had this laptop for maybe around 2-3 years now, I stopped using it a long time ago and recently came back to it finding everything slow, I have fixed and updated mainly everything, but the keyboard is super slow sometimes and I cannot find a way to fix this. Yes. Sticky Keys and Use Filter Keys are both unselected.What I'm talking about when I say that my keyboard is slow is whenever I type everything can be super delayed, out of order, or sometimes it just keeps on repeating/holding on one key for a little while. And it's weird because sometimes it doesn't lag at all and it mainly

Delay launching programs with keyboard shortcuts

From reading around, my understanding (and I stand to be corrected) is that the 2-3 second delay is a Windows default delay where Windows searches for any other app or program running at the time on your PC which MIGHT have the same shortcut as the program you are running and switch over to it instead of running the program initiated by your shortcut. In case of any unresponsive or misbehaving app or program, Windows waits 2-3 seconds before moving on to the next running program.

As regards the store and settings, I would try to reset at least the store app as per instructions here :
Clear and Reset Store Cache in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

I would also disable fast startup at least once and do a full shutdown and restart as often times it helps to get rid of some bugs in Windows.

Keyboard delay

Hello.

It would be great to test your device with another keyboard. This could show the issue is keyboard or system.

Try the steps below:

- disconnect and connect keyboard again

- run hardware troubleshooter

- update keyboard driver

- delete keyboard for the device manager list, update it, drivers should be found by system
