Windows 10: Keyboard combination ctrl + shift can't be use

Hi microsoft team, my laptop keyboard can't use the ctrl + shift combination anymore now, even though the keys on my keyboard all work normally individually. Is this problem with my software or hardware? Right now i'm using Windows 10 Pro Regards

CTRL+SHIFT keyboard combos not working

I've been using Windows 10 at home for a couple years. I use numerous keyboard combinations that involve CTRL+SHIFT. For example:

• CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste text without formatting
  
• CTRL+SHIFT+T to reopen a closed tab in Google Chrome
  
• CTRL+SHIFT+E to export photos in Adobe Lightroom
  

And so on.

My problem is that all CTRL+SHIFT keyboard combos stopped working. I don't know how or why! Suddenly one day they didn't work any more. Whenever I press CTRL and SHIFT at the same time, I get a beep, and the desired combinations don't do anything at all. This problem persisted for more than six months. I tried everything I could think of, researched many forums and message boards. Nothing worked! I gave up and learned to live without it, though I was quite frustrated.

Two weeks ago I noticed the functionality had returned. CTRL+SHIFT keyboard combos worked again! No more beeps! What changed? I don't know. I enjoyed using these shortcuts again, until about an hour ago when they stopped working again and the beeps returned.

And here's the kicker: midway through drafting this post, the problem once again went away. CTRL+SHIFT is working again. Hooray. But for how long?

I strongly suspect that I'm inadvertently turning some setting on and off. Can somebody please tell me what or how? This is kind of driving me crazy, and I don't want to be at the mercy of my own stupidity any longer. I can't be the only person having this problem, can I?

 

(Some) Ctrl+Shift+[key] combinations not working.

As said in the title, some Ctrl+Shift+[key] combinations don't work in my system (kind of, actually).

In Notepad++, the 'Save All' keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+S) doesn't work. In Visual Studio 2017, the 'Open Project/Solution...' (Ctrl+Shift+O) doesn't work either, the same goes for 'Save All' (also
Ctrl+Shift+S). It also happens in Premiere Pro, After Effects and Adobe Audition, and a handful of other software.

I say some combinations don't work because, for example, in Notepad++, 'Close All' (Ctrl+Shift+W) and 'UPPERCASE' (Ctrl+Shift+U) do work.

However, it always works in Safe Mode and in other users' accounts (regardless if in Safe Mode). I read

this question, but the answer is not useful to me because I don't have 'Mouse without Borders' installed. I also tried with another keyboard, but it's none of the matter.

It's making me waste a lot of time, as I use those two applications a lot on a daily basis.

Keyboard Issues, LEFT SHIFT + LEFT CTRL + L/R ARROW doesn't work on travelmate P645-S windows10

Recently i am facing issues with my laptop. Key combinations doesn't work especially with SHIFT.

List of combinations (Not working) :

LEFT SHIFT + LEFT CTRL + LEFT ARROW

LEFT SHIFT + LEFT CTRL + RIGHT ARROW

LEFT SHIFT + LEFT CTRL + UP ARROW

LEFT SHIFT + LEFT CTRL + DOWN ARROW

RIGHT SHIFT + RIGHT CTRL + RIGHT ARROW

List of combinations (Working) :

RIGHT SHIFT + RIGHT CTRL + RIGHT ARROW

CTRL + C, CTRL + V, CTRL + X

Other than above 'working' combinations no other combination works with CTRL and SHIFT

Please let me know why this issue is occurring!

Is this a hardware issue/ software issue?

i have updated keyboard drivers, also uninstalled and restarted laptop & let drivers install automatically.

Also i have checked if laptop's keyboard is loose or anything... everything is fine on that side.

P.S.

Recently i have upgraded my 4+4 GB RAM to 4+8 GB RAM

this RAM is DDR3 and may not be original
