  1. Keyboard entering some sort of Windows-Key Lock Mode unintentionally

Occasionally when I'm using my PC, my computer will enter a mode in which all of my keys will have unintended actions. When in this mode, the letter "e" will open File Explorer, the letter "f" will open Feedback Hub, the letter "r" will open Run Dialog, and so on. I understand that this is the result of pressing Windows Key + (the letter) and have taken multiple steps to avoid this, however the problem persists. The only way I've found to exit this mode is to restart my PC. I've had this problem on a personal laptop and two desktop computers, so I'm not sure the solution lies within a problem in the computer.

I've checked over and over again to make sure my Window's key isn't stuck, and it never has been. I've also remapped my Window's key to the other side of my keyboard and have found no luck. I've also disabled Sticky Keys in my computer's settings and this hasn't made a difference.

Lastly, I should mention that the problem does not occur regularly. It could happen once a week or once an hour.

    Thanks for the help.

    :)

Windows 10 Laptop Keyboard Keys Acting Strange

    Hi,

I realize that you are facing issues with the keyboard on your PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

Suggest you to plug in an external keyboard to the laptop to check if that helps.

Further you may also use the onscreen keyboard to check if that helps.

Follow these steps to launch the On-screen keyboard:

    • Press Windows key + R to get the run window.

    • Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.

Keep us informed to help you further.

    Thank you.
