Windows 10: keyboard freezes but mouse pad still operates - windows 11

Keyboard freezes randomly while using excel, word, online games. As the mouse still works, I am able to restart the laptop. After restarting, the keyboard is ok. In the last 4 moths this has happened on 15 occasions. I use the laptop every day. The following error message appears in the system log every time the keyboard has frozen. I suggest you to update the drivers for keyboard and mouse by following the steps below.

• Right click on Start icon and select Device Manager.
• Expand Keyboard (for keyboard) and Mice and other pointing devices (for mouse).
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
