Windows 10: Keyboard going idle, registering first inputs late

My laptop is an Asus ROG Strix model 513RM. I use windows 11. I use a razer basilisk v2 mouse. For the past month or so the built-in keyboard on my laptop has been having this issue where it would go 'inactive' after inputs haven't been made in between 5 seconds to a few minutes. This is especially annoying because it happens at any time, whether I'm playing games on it or using the browser. It acts like when you put your computer into sleep mode, it takes a second to turn back on, but the keyboard also sometimes registers every input made while it was in the 'sleep mode' once it returns to it

Keyboard input wont change from english

To fix the issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Add all keyboard types in one or more languages that you want to use.
• Go to Settings > Time & language >
  Region & language > Additional date, time, & regional settings.
• Go to Language > Advance settings >
  Override for default input method.
• Choose the type of keyboard you want.
• Click on Save.

Language keyboard input doesn't equal output

Language input may vary depending on the Input method set on your keyboard settings. To sort your concern, we suggest that you check if the desired input is set correctly by following these steps:

• Type in Language and keyboard options on the search box.
• Select the desired language that you're trying to set up.
• Once you've selected the language, select Options.
• Under Keyboards, select Microsoft IME and click
  Options.
• Scroll down and select Open advanced settings.
• A window will pop up. Under General tab, click the drop-down arrow for
  Input method and select the desired input.
• Click OK.

and setting your desired input method as 'override' rather than 'Use Language list'
