Windows 10: Keyboard included with language pack not fit for purpose - can't override.

Language pack for Te Reo Māori comes with the international keyboard, which does not include macrons. I cannot override this or install the fabled Māori keyboard which supposedly fixes the problem. I can't install keyboards separately from language packs. Need to either install the correct keyboard and override the input method, or custom code macrons onto the US keyboard which come with the English New Zealand language pack and has no functional accents at all.

To assist you better, I like to know; are you able to view the English language pack, under
Control panel > Languages? If not, what is the error message you are getting when trying to add English language pack.

I like to inform you that, we no need to download English language pack additionally since, English language will be already available among the language list. You need to add the English language from the list.

I suggest you to try adding the English language and set it as default language in your computer and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Add English language.

Follow the below steps to add your language from the language list.

  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.

• 
  Select language.
  
• 
  Click on Add language.
  
• 
  Add the English language from the given list.
  

Step 2: Override Windows display language and default input method to English.

Follow the below steps:

  Press Windows + X on your keyboard.

  Select language.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced Settings, form the left navigation panel.

  Select English language under
  Override for Windows Display language and Override for default input method.

English Language Pack for Windows 10

I understand that you want to change your language settings.

Before troubleshooting please answer the question:

Is your Operating system a single language pack OS? If it is a single language pack, we are sorry but you cannot change the language in the OS.

Kindly follow the steps below to change the regional language settings.

• Go to Start > Settings > Time & Language
  > Region and Language.
• To change PC’s language option follow the steps
  • Select the language and then click on Options. If your language is not available, go to language options
    and click on Download (to download the language pack) once the pack is downloaded go back to the
    Region & language, select the Language and Click on
    Set as primary.
  • You will get a notification, “Will be display language after next sign-in.”
  • Sign out of Windows and sign back in, your new language will be set.
• To add a keyboard, click on Add a language and choose the keyboard language you want to add. To switch between keyboards, you can click the taskbar button and select the keyboard you want to use. You can use the keyboard
  shortcut Windows Key + Space to toggle between added keyboards.

Trying to change display language but "No language pack available"

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below to download the language pack.

  Press Windows logo key + X key.
  
• 
  Click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Double click on Language.
  
• 
  Click on Add language.
  
• 
  Double Click on English language.
  
• 
  Click on options on right hand side of the English language pack.
  
• 
  Click on Download and install language pack.
