Windows 10: Keyboard is not working on start menu, but working on other PC and in browsers such as edge...

Hello,As per question have a issue whereby my keyboard is not working on the start menu and items such as one note.However works perfectly fine on another pc. Also works fine when typing in the address bar on a browser such as google chrome or edge.I've tried on board keyboard and that gives the same result. So seems to be a SW conflict of some sort.Windows 11. All latest updates installed. Drivers for both keyboard MX Keys and GPU Intel Arc also updated to latest.Any help or advice much appreciated,RegardsDaniel

          When you say "If I sign in under my user name I am in some earlier version", which version you are referring to?

          Did you made any recent changes to your computer prior to the issue?

          When you say “I cannot access the start menu and am limited to IP as a browser” Is it refers to Microsoft Edge?
          

As an initial steps, I suggest you to check for the Windows version. To do so, follow the below steps:

1) Login to your computer through user name on which it show earlier version of Windows.

2) Press Windows key + r.

3) Type winver, hit enter.

Start up menu and Microsoft Edge not working

My start up menu and Microsoft Edge are both not working in my windows 10. I have tried all the methods suggested in Microsoft community including the cmd and powershell command and resetting the pc. It was still not fix even I've reset the pc, instead
my other browsers like Google Chrome was uninstalled as well and I have no browsers at all to use since Microsoft edge is not working as well. Also switching user doesn't work because no windows pop up after I clicked the add new user button. What should I
do now? My laptop is like totally useless now without start up menu and any usable browser.

• When you say “it’s taken Microsoft Edge”, are you not able to see the browser on your desktop?
• Did you check if the “other program” files are still located in the PC?

The Edge browser may not be located on the taskbar or on the Start menu after performing an
In-place upgrade on the computer.



I suggest you to check if the Edge browser is located in
All apps by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo key on the keyboard to bring up the
  Start menu.
• Click on All apps located at the bottom left side panel of the
  Start menu.
• Scroll the window down to M alphabet and check if
  Microsoft Edge is present.
• If yes, right click on the app and select Pin to Start or hover the mouse pointer over at
  More and select Pin to taskbar.
• Next time, press Windows logo key on the keyboard and check if the
  Microsoft Edge tile is pinned to the Start menu or in the taskbar as performed.
