Windows 10: Keyboard keeps getting corrupted drivers

Hello there, since 3 days ago, my laptop keys (enter, spacebar and backspace) stopped working and i figured out my drivers were probably corrupted so I reinstalled them. Everything worked out fine after it. The only problem im having now is that they keep getting corrupted and i have to reinstall them multiple times a day. It is very annyoing for me to keep reinstalling them so I was wondering if someone knew a solution for it.

Windows 10 corrupts both my keyboard and touchpad

You could face this issue due to corrupt or outdated keyboard and the touchpad drivers. I suggest you to follow the steps given below and check if it helps you.

Method 1: Run the hardware and device Troubleshooter.


Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

• 
  Type troubleshooting
  on the Taskbar.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select View all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
  

Move to next method when the issue still persists.

Method 2: Uninstall the Keyboard and Mouse driver and then reinstall it.


Step 1: Follow these steps to uninstall the
Keyboard and Mouse Drivers.

• 
  Press Windows key +
  X and select Device Manager.
  
• 
  Search for Keyboard and Mouse
  and expand it.
  
• 
  Right click on the Keyboard and MouseDrivers
  and select Uninstall.
  

Step 2: Reinstall the driver from the manufacturer’s website.

Go to the manufacturer’s website and then download drivers for Windows 10.

Windows 10 keeps installing wrong keyboard driver.

I request you to try uninstalling and reinstalling the Keyboard Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Keyboard Drivers

• Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
• Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
• Search for the Keyboard from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove
  the corrupted drivers from the computer.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Computer manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the Keyboard and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

If you still have the issue, install the drivers in compatibility mode.

Download the drivers from manufacture's website for Windows 10, if there no drivers available for Windows 10, download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website and
try installing it in compatibility mode.
Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

• Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.
• Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
  ‘properties’.
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
  ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select the operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.
• Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Brother MFC-8950DW scanner driver keeps getting corrupted by new version of Win 10

It's possible that your scanner drivers keep being corrupted due to incompatibility with the latest Windows update. As initial troubleshooting, we suggest using the built-in device troubleshooter that can find and fix common device issues in Windows 10.
To use it, follow these steps:

• Click Start.
• Type Troubleshoot and press Enter.
• Go to Hardware and Devices and click Run the troubleshooter.

To find and fix corrupted system files, we recommend that you use the System File Checker (SFC) and the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) command-line tools. The steps for using these tools are provided in this

forum article. After doing these steps, reinstall your scanner drivers. If you haven't done it yet, check if your scanner's software has a new version or update for Fall Creators Update as well by checking the manufacturer's website.

Let us know if you're able to use your scanner without needing to reinstall it after a reboot after following these steps.
