    Keyboard layout changes after a few minutes!


    This is super annoying


    I have two keyboard languages, UK and US this is because I have a US layout keyboard and uk layout keyboard


    At home I have the uk one and set the keyboard to UK (bottom right in the task bar)


    After a set period of say 5 minutes not using the laptop, windows reverts to the US layout. I cannot determine exactly what causes it but it happens throughout the day, day in day out. I set it to UK, after a few minutes it reverts to US



    How can I stop Windows doing this, its super super annoying?

    Changing the keyboard layout

    Windows 10 "Update" Changed keyboard layout on welcome screen and I can't change it back.

    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve the issue.


    • How many keyboard language have you installed?
    If you have installed more than 1 keyboard language in your system, then I suggest you to remove the keyboard language other than default language and check if it helps.

    Follow the steps to remove the language.


    • Open Control panel.

    • Click on language.

    • Select the language and click on remove option at the top.
